Our Story

Connecting Minds,
Building Futures Since 2008

NZ EduPortal was founded in Dhaka in 2008 by a New Zealand Licensed Immigration Adviser (LIA), connected with Education New Zealand (ENZ) initiatives from the very beginning. Our purpose was clear: to give Bangladeshi students access to the same quality of guidance that students in wealthier countries take for granted. Too many talented young people were being misled by unqualified agents, paying for advice that damaged their visa prospects and their futures.

We built NZ EduPortal on the opposite principle — licensed advisers, accredited partnerships, and a refusal to recommend any pathway we would not recommend to our own family members. In 2013 we became an ENZ-accredited education agent, and in 2016 we were exclusively nominated in Bangladesh with Manukau Institute of Technology for the Industry Partnership with Education Providers (IPP) programme.

Today we are proud partners of Toi-Ohomai Institute of Technology and Whitireia WelTec, helping students navigate everything from programme selection and visa applications to arrival support and part-time work rights — including the 25 hours per week work entitlement available to eligible international students.

Part-Time Work Rights in New Zealand

Eligible international students studying at a New Zealand institution can work up to 25 hours per week during term time, and full-time during scheduled holidays. We guide you through the conditions so you can plan your finances with confidence.
